    Applications are evaluated based on their alignment with The Engine's focus on Tough Tech, the technical novelty of their solution, potential for significant societal and environmental impact, and the expertise of the team.

  • We offer a range of residency options to meet your companies’ needs. Whether you need access to wet labs, prototyping labs, or a curated community to support your journey as a startup, we got you covered.

  • The majority of membership options are month-to-month contracts to give your team the flexibility you need to scale on your timeline. Residency terms are flexible and there is no term limit to a team’s residency at The Engine.


  • Our facilities are open 24 hours a day to all members. Operational support staff, including the front desk, will be staffed 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.

  • Yes, visitors are allowed as long as they are accompanied by a member at all times. In addition, the building was designed with an abundance of meeting space on the 1st floor in order to limit how many visitors come upstairs.

  • All wet lab space is BSL-2.
