Frequently Asked Questions

  • The Engine specializes in hosting Tough Tech-focused professional and community events, including company meetings, lectures, presentations, team offsites, networking events, and receptions. We do not host personal events such as birthday parties, weddings, or graduations. If you're unsure whether your event is a good fit for The Engine, feel free to reach out — we’d be happy to discuss your needs.

  • We recommend using public transit or ride-share services when possible. The closest public transit station is the Central stop on the Red Line, about an 8-minute walk to 750 Main St. There is a parking garage behind our building on 99 State St. Please see below for information regarding using this parking structure.

    • Daily parkers can scan the QR code in the garage to create a Metropolis account. It will require their phone number, email, license plate information, as well as a payment method. They will only have to do this once and the system will remember them on subsequent visits (or to other Metropolis garages).

    • Visiting parkers will pay the base (hourly) parking rate + a $2.25 service fee. See these rates below.
      • 0 - 1 hr $18

      • 1 - 1.5 hrs $26

      • 1.5 - 2 hrs $36

      • 2+ hrs $45 (Daily max)

  • Our event space includes built-in AV equipment, such as microphones, speakers, and projectors. Our team can assist with setup to ensure your technical needs are met. Let us know if you have specific AV requirements.

  • The Engine does not provide onsite catering, but we have a list of recommended caterers to assist with your needs. We welcome catered events, from casual lunches to formal dinners. If you have a preferred caterer who isn’t on our list, you’re welcome to bring them in for your event.

  • Yes! Our event coordination team will schedule a walkthrough of the space with you. This allows us to answer any questions and ensure we understand your event needs.

  • Your rental cost includes access to the event space, setup, 200 event chairs, AV equipment, a stage, and a podium.

  • The Event Space is 2530ft² and can fit:

    • 357 People - Standing, Cocktail Style

    • 200 People - Seated, Presentation Style

    • 144 People - Seated, Conference Style (60" Round Tables)

    • Additional 137 in The Gallery - Standing, Cocktail Style

  • We recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred date. Availability can vary depending on demand.

  • Yes, additional conference rooms are available for an additional fee. We offer a range of conference rooms accommodating between 5 and 24 seats, providing a professional setting for meetings and events.
