The Tough Tech problem we are solving
We cannot exist without plants. They supply air, water, food, energy, medicine, clothing, and shelter. Yet global plant resources are in crisis: nearly 40% of species teeter on extinction, forests have declined by a third since the Industrial Revolution (mostly in the last century), and overharvesting plus supply bottlenecks threaten ecosystems and human abundance. Human progress shouldn't devastate nature. And now it doesn't have to.
About our solution
Foray makes it possible to build anything from a single plant cell, decoding the world of plants to engineer biology as easily as writing software. Using natural plant cells grown outside the plant as building blocks, we biomanufacture harvest-free molecules, materials, and seed products—protecting sensitive ecosystems from overexploitation, resolving native seed shortages, and enabling scalable restoration that regenerates more while taking less from nature.
