The Tough Tech problem we are solving
Apollo Generators is addressing the critical challenge of providing long-lived, reliable power for underwater and remote ocean infrastructure, where grid access and regular maintenance are impractical and today’s battery and cable-based solutions quickly become limiting. By focusing on powering seabed fiber optic repeaters and distributed acoustic and environmental sensing networks, Apollo tackles the problem of how to sustain high-bandwidth data flow and intelligent sensing in some of the harshest, most inaccessible environments on Earth.
About our solution
Apollo Generators develops radioisotope power systems that convert heat directly into electricity using proven physics, adapting the same family of technologies that have reliably powered deep-space missions for decades to underwater applications. Their generators are engineered to deliver multi-kilowatt thermal and kilowatt-scale electrical output with high conversion efficiency over lifetimes of more than twenty years, enabling embedded power for subsea cables, autonomous sensor networks, and AUV charging without reliance on shore-based power or frequent intervention.
