The Tough Tech problem we are solving
Cell-based research and development underpins the next generation of therapies, yet the workflows behind it remain slow, manually intensive, and inconsistent. A single experiment can take two days and roughly 100 manual steps, and variability across protocols and operators makes results difficult to reproduce. Across the industry, this inefficiency is estimated to cost $10 billion each year, slowing the path from discovery to treatments for cancer and other diseases.
About our solution
100XBIO addresses this challenge by developing robotic systems that automate complex cell biology experiments from start to finish. Its platform replaces a two-day, 100-step manual process with a single-click automated workflow, combining robotic liquid handling, gentle in situ staining, and fluorescence imaging to capture live-cell dynamics and multi-marker readouts from the same sample. Because the system is designed for simplicity, 100XBIO can run experiments at about 10% of the typical cost and, using predictive modeling, up to 10 times faster, giving biotech and pharma teams more reliable data, sooner.
