The Decelerator Initiative is a structured effort from The Engine, developed with support from the Schmidt Family Foundation, for climate-focused Tough Tech leaders navigating a company closure, wind-down, or significant pivot.
Rather than letting that expertise dissipate, The Engine will offer short-term fellowships for decelerating startup founders, with appropriate IP and confidentiality safeguards, to share, distill, and openly publish the operational and technical knowledge they accumulated. Through this effort, important technical resources, stories and details of scaling will be made available to entrepreneurs who come next.
